Sorry about the lack of posts AGAIN...but it seems that BOTH of our home computers are on the ol' FRITZ...right now I'm using my dads, but unfortunately it contains exactly ZERO pictures of Aaralyn for me to post!!! So I apologize...
...now, I am going to use this precious computer time to read all of YOUR blogs! :D
Child-rearing, getting fit, crafting..and trying to have fun (all while living with mental illness). Yes, I'm crazy...they had me tested! Welcome!

Good Mood/Bad Mood
Good Mood: Earlier today, I was in an extremely good mood. My hubby and I actually had some time off together, our baby was in a great mood, and more importantly (okay, not really more importantly), I bought some cool clothes that I just love. The best part? Since I finally actually managed to get my eating under control a few weeks ago, and started exercising more consistently, sizes that were TOO TIGHT on me a month and a half ago are fitting nicely - sometimes even a tad large! So hooray for that, and for my trendy-but-not-expensive finds!
Bad Mood: Maybe "bad" isn't the way to put it, but I've been in an ODD mood lately...where I feel somewhat unfulfilled with life. And I don't understand it! I have a job that I like (though it does not pay nearly enough for our little family to stay afloat) a great family, a healthy baby...and yet I seem only capable of focusing on the negative (not enough, not enough time with my husband because he works over time to make MORE money, not enough time with friends, not having a house yet).
It's like now, I'm on facebook, creeping my friends' photos (yes, YOURS too), and they all look SOOOO happy...their lives are so full, and I don't know how to get that feeling to stick around for me!
Anyway...there are my thoughts for the night!

Look what I can do!
She's growing up too fast, for sure.
Now, if only she'd learn how to drink from a bottle without help, or even TRY a sippy cup...hmm...
So recently, my husband and I experienced yet another one of our parenting "firsts". Though this one was not as much fun as "baby's first bath" or "baby's first tooth". This one was "baby's first trip to the hospital".
No worries, our little lady is doing fine! But it did turn out that she had "croup", which, for those of you who aren't familiar with baby-related ailments, is a parainfluenza virus which causes, among other things,a seal-like barking cough. I swear it would be cute if it wasn't so pitiful.
Anyway, after a few hours at the hospital and some medicine administered, we were on our way home. Of course now I am sick, but I guess that is to be expected when you are a parent, no?
And I wouldn't have it any other way!
Here, is a picture from the hospital (It's not as crazy as it seems - the camera flash is the only thing that can calm her down when she's upset, as she was that night!)

Winter BLAHS, and hope for SHANNY
Anyone else feeling it?
I don't dislike winter. I'm Canadian, for crying out loud - winter is what we do best! I love the snow, don't mind the cold, and when you park underground and don't have to worry about scraping ice off of your car in the morning, it really isn't so bad!
What I have trouble dealing with is the LACK OF SUNLIGHT!!! It really gets to me! It's amazing how, in the summer, days really DO seem longer! And less gloomy, even when it's dreary out!
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
I also want to extend best wishes to SHANNY! She knows why :) I'm rooting for you!

Yup, I'm terrible
At updating, of course.
We have a new laptop. I have no pictures as of yet downloaded onto it, and so I have not been able to put up any from Christmas or New Years. I am also busy getting my resume ready looking for a job, putting away my gazillion Christmas things, and trying to get my life organized. So, I want to hear from you.
What are your New Years resolutions?
